Singular gradient free energy of superfluid /sup 3/He-A at T = 0

The coefficient of the (l-circumflexxdell-circumflex)/sup 2/ lnchemically bondl-circumflexxdell-circumflexchemically bond term in the gradient free energy of superfluid /sup 3/He-A at T = 0 is calculated and shown not to vanish. This disagrees with the conclusion of Choi and Muzikar, which is argued to result from a subtle limitation in the region of validity of an approximate Green function. The result is also compared with some results of Volovik and Nagai.
