Quasi-cw lasing of LiF crystals with F/sup +//sub 2/ and F/sup -//sub 2/ color centers

Journal Article · · Sov. J. Quant. Electron. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
Quasi-cw operation of color center lasers was achieved and the duration of the output pulses was approx. 200 ..mu..sec in the case of a LiF:F/sup +//sub 2/ crystal and approx. 400 ..mu..sec in the case of LiF:F/sup -//sub 2/. These lasers were used in intracavity spectrum analyzers of approx.10/sup -7/ cm/sup -1/ sensitivity in the wavelength range 880--960 nm and approx.7 x 10/sup -8/ cm/sup -1/ in the range 1.12--1.19 ..mu...
