3p/sup 6/ 3d/sup 9/-3p/sup 5/ 3d/sup 10/ transitions in cobaltlike ions from Ba/sup 29 +/ to Yb/sup 43 +/

The 3p/sup 6/ 3d/sup 9/-3p/sup 5/ 3d/sup 10/ transitions in the cobaltlike ions Ba/sup 29 +/, La/sup 30 +/, Nd/sup 33 +/, Sm/sup 35 +/, Gd/sup 37 +/, Dy/sup 39 +/, Er/sup 41 +/, and Yb/sup 43 +/ were observed with a laser-produced plasma and a 2.2-m grazing-incidence spectrograph. Predicted wavelengths were obtained for the 3p/sup 6/ 3d/sup 9/ /sup 2/D/sub 5/2/-2D/sub 3/2/ magnetic dipole transitions in Mo/sup 15 +/, Xe/sup 27 +/, and W/sup 47 +/.
