Cross sections for the reactions /sup 54/Fe(n,. cap alpha. )/sup 51/Cr, /sup 54/Fe(n,p)/sup 54/Mn, and /sup 56/Fe(n,p)/sup 56/Mn. [6 to 16 MeV]

Ratios of cross sections for the reactions /sup 54/Fe(n,..cap alpha..)/sup 51/Cr, /sup 54/Fe(n,p)/sup 54/Mn, and /sup 56/Fe(n,p)/sup 56/Mn were measured by the activation technique. In the 6- to 10-MeV energy range, quasi-monoenergetic neutrons produced by the D(d,n) source reaction were used, while additional data were obtained between 12 and 17 MeV by use of the T(d,n) source reaction. The cross-section ratios have accuracies between 1.5 and 4.5%. 1 figure, 3 tables.
