Decoupling and low-energy Becchi-Rouet-Stora invariance

We present a simple inductive proof of decoupling. This proof makes use of a multiplicative massive renormalization scheme. In this scheme the relation between the Becchi-Rouet-Stora (BRS) invariance of the full theory and the BRS invariance of the reduced theory is manifest. The calculation of the massive renormalization constants to any loop may be simply carried out with a modified Bogolubov-Parasiuk-Hepp-Zimmermann minimal-subtraction procedure.
