Alpha-particle emission from the deep-inelastic reaction 1354 MeV /sup 165/Ho+/sup 181/Ta

The in-plane correlation between projectile-like fragments and ..cap alpha..-particles has been studied over a broad range of angles for the system 1354 MeV /sup 165/Ho+/sup 181/Ta. These data unambiguously indicate that the dominant sources of ..cap alpha..-particles are the fully accelerated fragments.
