Poisson-type multiplicity distribution in e sup + e minus annihilation

A modified Poisson distribution in analogy with the photon statistics due to Scully and Lamb is used to fit the charged multiplicity distribution of {ital e}{sup +}{ital e{minus}} annihilation. A remark is made on approximate Koba-Nielsen-Olesen scaling.
