Fradkin's method of modified perturbation theory ''in the exponential'' is applied to the summation of the infrared singularities of the propagator of a massive scalar particle interacting with a neutral scalar massless field at a nonzero temperature T. In contrast to the T = 0 case, enhancement of the pole of the propagator on the mass shell does not occur. The propagator obtained is an entire function of the square of the four-momentum, and this corresponds to confinement of the massive particle. An expression is obtained for the confinement length, which tends to infinity as T..-->..0. The results of the analogous summation for the electron propagator in quantum electrodynamics with Tnot =0 are given.
