Mechanical properties of zirconia-toughened alumina

Bend samples of four compositions of zirconia-toughened alumina were heat treated at 1000 C for 100 and 500 h and tested for strength and fracture toughness at room temperature. These results are compared with as-received properties, as well as stress rupture and stepped-temperature stress rupture data.
