When the subject field was discovered, the completion interval selection relied heavily on the subjective mud or drillers log. A qualitative analysis of the openhole well logs was developed that assists in the selection of the most productive zones in this massive shale reservoir. Also briefly discussed are stimulation techniques and pressure transient testing problems and results as seen in this layered reservoir.
