A discussion of tank-storage management of high-level-activity liquid wastes is presented in which information is given on classification of wastes, service life of tanks, economic aspects, and hazards of tank storage. Other discussion is included on treatment of liquid wastes by adsorption, ion exchange, and reduction to solids, and on final disposal methods. Information is also included on recovery of fission products. A proposed flow diagram for Sr recovery from Purex 1 WW is given along with discussion of Hanford Purex waste handling, shipment of Hanford fission products, and incorporation of /sup 137/Cs in glass.
