It comprises: contacting the was with a hydroisomerization catalyst under sufficient hydroisomerization conditions. The catalyst comprises a layered titanate containing interspathic polymeric oxide. The catalyst further comprises a hydrogenating component selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni, Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, and Pt.
