Electron energy distribution and kinetic coefficients of a CO plasma. I. Ground-state molecules

The electron kinetic coefficients are found through a numerical solution of the Boltzmann equation for the electron energy distribution in a CO discharge for zero vibrational temperature. Good agreement with experimental data is found. The calculation are carried out for reduced electric fields (E/N) between 10/sup -16/ and 3x10/sup -15/ Vxcm/sup 2/.
