Title: Start-up and operation of the first commercial Ryan/Holmes facility

Conference ·
OSTI ID:5559161

The Ryan/Holmes process has passed through a period of evolution since the original concepts were established in the early 1980's. A two-column pilot plant was used to demonstrate the principles of distillative separation of acid gases from hydrocarbon components. In the Ryan/Holmes process, an NGL additive is used to promote separations that would either not be possible without the additive, or would require considerably higher energy consumption if the additive were not utilized.
