We determine a particular solution, dependent upon an arbitrary harmonic function in cylindrical coordinates, of the system of n partial differential equations, which characterizes both the axially symmetric field solution of the Einstein (n-1)--Maxwell equations and one class of axially symmetric static self-dual SU(n+1) Yang--Mills fields.
