Delay of the confinement stage and possible appearance of a stationary regime

The necessary condition for the existence of stationary regimes in birth--death processes with coefficients having a polynomial dependence on the number of particles in the system is found. The delay of the confinement stage in the parton cascade is studied as one of the possible manifestations of the stationary regime in hadron physics.
