This document presents quidelines for the preparation of material to be entered into the Carbon Dioxide Information Center's Bibliographic Information System (CDIC/BIS). Literature included in a computerized information file has a number of identifying characteristics or descriptors. The descriptor fields currently used by the CDIC/BIS are alphabetically listed and are defined in detail. Many examples are included to illustrate some of the variations that might be encountered. 6 references.
