Status of the weatherization assistance program annual report for 1979

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5552604
The DOE Weatherization Assistance Program is the major provider of Federal weatherization assistance. The status report concentrates on the three areas of concern relating to weatherization activities: the extent of progress being made toward achievement of national energy conservation goals; the adequacy and costs of materials; and the need for and desirability of modifying weatherization activities (and any changes to the legislation necessary to accomplish these modifications), and of extending such activities to a broader range of income groups. Other programs in the FmHA, HUD, and HEW are discussed for their historic importance or their present or potential contribution to weatherization activities.
