The problem of nonlinear relaxation of quasiparticles to a nonequilibrium stationary state in superconducting films of an S--I--S tunnel junction when the nonequilibrium effects between the electron- and hole-like excitations can be neglected is solved by numerical methods. The case of strong injection when the value of the distribution function f/sub epsilon/ in the injection domain is of the order of unity is considered.
