Cretaceous sinistral strike slip along Nacimiento fault in coastal California

The structural geology of the Nacimiento fault in coastal California is detailed and a paleotectonic reconstruction of faulted are is presented. A correct interpretation of the Nacimiento fault is important for understanding the overall tectonic framework of the petroliferous basins both onshore and offshore in coastal California. (JMT)
