Theoretical studies of positron complexes with atomic anions

The LCAO--SCF Hartree--Fock method is employed to study the ground and excited states of (H/sup -/;e/sup +/), (Li/sup -/;e/sup +/), (F/sup -/;e/sup +/), and (Na/sup -/;e/sup +/). The nature of the binding of the positron in each of these species as well as the perturbation on the electron orbitals due to the addition of the positron is explored in detail.
