Influence of magnetic ordering on electric conductivity of amorphous Zr-Ni alloys

Measurements have been made on resistance of amorphous Zr/sub 1-x/Ni/sub x/ alloys (x = 0.24, 0.36, 0.50, 0.64, 0.91) in the temperature range 1.5--300 /sup 0/K. The spin fluctuation effect on resistivity of Zr/sub 0.76/Ni/sub 0.24/ is most obvious. The influence of magnetic ordering on the temperature coefficients of resistivity ..cap alpha.. = (1/R)(dR/dT) is important for magnetic alloys such as Zr-Ni. In this paper we also discuss the suppression of the superconducting transition temperature by spin fluctuations.
