Tertiary oil recovery method

A tertiary recovery process is described for improving the recovery of oil from a reservoir which has been waterflooded. The process consists of injecting a material which is somewhat soluble in water and more soluble in the reservoir oil, injecting a second material which is miscible with the first injected material, and injecting a third material which is miscible with the second injected material. The latter acts as a drive fluid to drive the oil through the reservoir and to a producing well completed in the reservoir. 13 claims.
