Inelastic scattering of deuterons by carbon at 8. 9 GeV/c

The ALPHA magnetic spectrometer has been used to measure in detail the momentum spectrum of deuterons inelastically scattered by a carbon target in the range of angles 0< or =theta<0.4/sup 0/ and which as the result of scattering have lost up to 30% of the initial momentum 8.9 GeV/c.
