This report summarizes the progress in the Signal Validation Project during the last quarter of 1987 and contains a comprehensive description of the various signal validation modules. These modules are ready for implementation using plant operational data. A set of data has been acquired from Northeast Utilities Services Company's Millstone-3 PWR. Discussions are underway to acquire a database of EBR-II operational signals. These data will be used to evaluate the generalized consistency checking (GCC) and the process empirical modeling (PEM) modules.
