The object of this study was to use seismic refraction to investigate the known geothermal zone and adjacent areas in preparation for energy resource development. Seven seismic refraction profiles and four long-distance refraction shots were used to investigate the Salton Sea geothermal area. From these data, two models of the geothermal and adjacent area are proposed.
