This paper describes a battery. It comprises: energy storage means for storing energy and for providing energy in response to exposure to at least one activating gas; and tape sealing means comprising at least two tape portions being removably adhesively affixed to a surface of the battery for incrementally controlling the amount of one or more activating gases provided to the energy storage means by removing one or more of the at least two tape portions of the tape sealing means.
