We extend the approach based on light-cone expansion and heavy quark effective theory to inclusive semileptonic decay of an unpolarized b-flavored hadron. It is applied to calculate the semileptonic decay width of the {Lambda}{sub b} baryon and its ratio to that of the B meson. We obtain {Gamma}{sub SL}({Lambda}{sub b})=(51{plus_minus}9){vert_bar}V{sub cb}{vert_bar}{sup 2} ps{sup {minus}1} and {Gamma}{sub SL}({Lambda}{sub b})/{Gamma}{sub SL}(B)=1.052{plus_minus}0.006. From the latter, the semileptonic branching fraction for {Lambda}{sub b} is predicted to be (8.7{plus_minus}0.7){percent}. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
