Gilbert Associates' Rate Design Study: Load Research catalogs present load research studies by means of a literature search and a comprehensive survey of electric utilities in the United States and Canada. Additionally, twenty-three utilities recognized for their load research experience are surveyed to further identify computer capabilities and data accessibility related to load-research programs. Guidelines for future load-research efforts are developed. This investigation is not to be considered as a bibliography of load research tests and time-of-day rate experiments. The major findings and conclusions are presented.
