This paper describes a seven-channel threshold gas Cerenkov counter with an air filler at atmospheric pressure placed in the gap of the analyzing magnet of a BIS-2 spectrometer. The housing and all parts of the counter are made of nonmagnetic material. The chargedparticle recording efficiency for beta greater than or equal to0.999982 is greater than or equal to98%. The counter is a part of the spectrometer's identification system for charged secondary particles.
