Silicone rubber/glass microballoon syntactic foams (0.64 g/cm{sup 3}) were prepared using two different silicone rubber resin systems. Physical and thermodynamic properties were characterized for both syntactic foam systems. The mold was modified, and mold filling and handling techniques were varied to reduce the number and size of voids.
