National case studies carried out using EFOM 12C are reported for the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). After a brief description of the energy system of the FRG the exogenous factors used in the model are reviewed. Three extreme cases are specified for case studies, but in order to achieve a more realistic perspective a further two cases are defined.
