This patent describes a pipe monitoring system. It comprises: at least one pipe having an interior wall, flexible liner means having an exterior surface substantially flush with the interior wall of the pipe, and at least one grove located in the exterior surface, wherein the groove and the interior wall of the pipe define at least one passageway and pressure differential leak detection means communicating with the at least one passageway to detect leakage into the passageway.
