Static mesonic potential from the Nambu-Goto string occupied by {lambda}{phi}{sup 4} self-interacting fields

By occupying the Nambu-Goto string of finite extension with a set of {lambda}{phi}{sup 4} self-interacting scalar fields the resulting static mesonic potential is calculated. It is found that the shape of the Nambu-Goto potential including the square-root singularity is preserved and also that there is a systematic shifting to bigger values of the distances for which the potential vanishes as the scalar field becomes more massive. In this same limit the slope of the potential becomes bigger.
