Calculations of the intervalence-band absorption saturation in {ital p}-type InSb by high-intensity CO{sub 2} laser light are reported. The intensity-dependent absorption coefficient is found to be well described by an inhomogeneously broadened two-level model, and values of the saturation intensity are presented.
