Preliminary results from experiment UA6: inclusive. pi. /sup 0/, eta and single. gamma. cross-sections and evidence for J/PSI production in p anti p collisions at. sqrt. s = 24. 3 GeV

Preliminary results on the invariant cross section for inclusive ..pi../sup 0/ production, the eta/..pi../sup 0/ production ratio and the direct photon to ..pi../sup 0/ production ratio in p anti p collisions at ..sqrt..s = 24.3 GeV in the transverse momentum range 2.5 < p/sub T/ < 5 GeV/c are presented. These results are from data collected in an initial run of the UA6 experiment in the fall of 1984 with an integrated luminosity of 4,10/sup 34/ cm/sup -2/. J/Psi production has also been observed in the e/sup +/e/sup -/ channel. 8 refs., 7 figs.
