On the canonical quantization of nonabelian gauge theory in the A-italic/sub 0/ = 0 gauge

It is proved that, in distinction from quantum electrodynamics, in a nonabelian Yang-Mills theory in the A-italic/sub 0/ = 0 gauge the total Hamiltonian and the interaction picture Hamiltonian (the i-italicn-italic-picture) exhibit different gauge symmetries, and consequently cannot be related by a canonical transformation. We stress the fact that we are dealing here with effects which have a nonanalytic dependence on the coupling constant.
