This patent describes a method of perforating a well. It comprises: tubing string and lowering the tubing string, including the perforating gun, into a wellbore; attaching a firing head to one end of a pipe section and a pump to the other end of the pipe section and lowering the one end of the pipe section, including the firing head, into the tubing string; and detonating the firing head, the perforating gun perforating the well in response to detonation of the firing head.
