The DOE National Photovoltaic Program has established a Photovoltaic System Design Assistance Center at Sandia National Laboratories. In a cooperative effort with private industry, the Design Assistance Center promotes the accelerated use of photovoltaic technology by making available information about the technology of potential users. In addition to data from the research and development activities of the DOE Photovoltaic Systems Development and Technology Evaluation Projects at Sandia National Laboratories, the center's extensive data base includes information about the characteristics and requirements of commercially available hardware.
