Post-attachment interactions in K( nd )--CF sub 3 I collisions at intermediate n

A kinematic study of the velocities and angular distribution of I{sup {minus}} ions detected following Rydberg electron transfer in K({ital nd})/CF{sub 3}I collisions is reported. The data show that post-attachment interactions between the product ions are important at intermediate {ital n} (9{approx lt}{ital n}{approx lt}20) even though the I{sup {minus}} ions are formed with appreciable kinetic energies.
