Absolute excitation functions have been measured for the /sup 90/Zr(p,n)/sup 90//sup m//sup ,//sup g/Nb, /sup 92/Zr(p,n)/sup 92//sup m/Nb, /sup 96/Zr(p,n)/sup 96/Nb, /sup 94/Mo(p,n)/sup 94//sup m//sup ,//sup g/Tc, /sup 95/Mo(p,n)/sup 95//sup m//sup ,//sup g/Tc, /sup 96/Mo(p,n)/sup 96/Tc, and /sup 100/Mo(p,n)/sup 100/Tc reactions. The isomeric ratio has been measured for the /sup 92/Mo(p,..gamma..)/sup 93//sup m//sup ,//sup g/Tc reaction. The experimental data are compared with results of calculations in the framework of the Hauser-Feshbach theory with various proton-optical-potential and nuclear-level-density parameter sets. The influence of various factors on the level-density spin dependence is studied. Shell effects in the vicinity of the closed neutron shell for the nuclei with N = 50 neutrons are discussed. The theory agrees with the experiment for moments of inertia close to the rigid-body values.
