A complete description of a fully parallel command processor, data acquisition, and process control software system is given in this paper. The system runs on custom hardware built around the Inmos Transputer and is written in the first truly parallel real-time programming language called OCCAM. OCCAM coding techniques are discussed and code benchmarks are given.
