This paper presents spectrometric methods for the analysis of neptunium and plutonium in monitoring the nuclear fuel cycle and the environment: alpha and gamma spectrometry and x-ray fluorescence analysis with or without crystal diffraction. To determine the completeness of the isolation of neptunium and plutonium in chemical preparation for XFA, as for alpha and gamma spectrometry, one can use isotopic tracers such as neptunium 239 and plutonium 236, whose contents are also determined by spectrometric methods. This results in standardization in the equipment for these physical methods.
