The recent discussion by Kim and Overhauser of nonmagnetic impurities in superconductors is employed to study the case of nonretarded pairing interactions. It is found that Anderson`s theorem does not hold in this case and {ital T}{sub {ital c}} can be reduced by nonmagnetic impurities. Experimental observation of this effect in high-{ital T}{sub {ital c}} superconductors would be a strong indication of such nonretarded interactions.
