This paper describes the results of an underground coal mine trial installation of a shielded trailing cable. The cable was a three conductor, round, type SHC-GC and was installed on a shuttle car in a conventional room-and-pillar mining section. The paper presents information that mine operators can use to solve the problems encountered if they are required to install shielded cables. 3 refs.
