Technical feature:Solas I is a greenhouse/fish farm complex at the Foundation for Self-Sufficiency in Catonsville, Maryland. Tilapia and Israeli carp are grown on vegetable scraps, garden weeds and commercial fish food inside a fiberglass dome greenhouse. Carp growth and the systems, costs and productivity are discussed. Related foundation projects using solar collectors and windmills are described. (4 photos)
