A two-year marketing study shows a potential coal export bonanza to Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea for US and Asian businessmen. Coordinated, good-faith negotiations are necessary first to assure Pacific Rim steam coal users that the US will develop the inland transport and port capacity and to assure US investors of long-term contract guarantees.
