The velocity autocorrelation functions for the different species in a dilute hard sphere gas mixture are calculated by tracing the collision history of the individual hard spheres characterized by their number concentration (n/sub A/, n/sub B/), mass (m/sub A/, m/sub B/), and hard sphere diameter (sigma/sub AA/, sigma/sub BB/). Quantities related to the velocity autocorrelation function like the self-diffusion coefficient are calculated and compared to results obtained from the Enskog approximation scheme to the Boltzmann equation.
