Inclusive cross sections of charged hadrons in 3-jet events at radical s = 29 GeV

The cross section for the production of charged hadrons in 3-jet events produced from e{sup +}e{sup {minus}} annihilation at 29 GeV center of mass energy are examined. The data was taken at the Pep-4/Time Projection Chamber between 1983-1984. In particular the production of hadrons by the particle which mediates the strong interaction, the gluon is of interest. It was found that the number of protons produced by the fragmentation of the gluon is at variance with the LUND model of fragmentation.
