Shape isomers and molecular states in /sup 32/S

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
The sequences of states found in a microscopically derived /sup 16/O-/sup 16/O potential are identified by energies and quadrupole moments as candidates for shape isomeric and molecular bands in /sup 32/S. The B(E2) transitions within and between the bands and the capture cross sections into shape isomers and molecular states are calculated.
